I became hooked on Janet's music with the "janet." album; I guess you could say I was the typical fan : buying all of her singles, albums, I imported magazines from everywhere around the globe, and this lasted for a looong time. I got to see Janet on stage a few times, I met her too (she was lovely!), and when I finally got an access to the Internet, not surprisingly the first thing I did was google Janet's name. I met some lovely people on the web, some of whom actually inspired me & helped me build my very first Janet site, which was called "Empty Space". I don't remember how long I kept this site online but I know I loved learning new things & sharing my passion for Janet with other fans, so I naturally bought my first domain name and launched "Janet Style". I loved working on this site... I really did. Unfortunately, my fabulous sense of organisation got me in trouble when I forgot to renew my domain name. I lost my link to some stupid commercial company. I then helped a friend of mine with her site/forum for a while, it was a beautiful experience, but eventually I decided it was time for me to create another Janet site. The domain Janet-Jackson.net was about to become available so I backordered it but the guy who owned it (maybe still owns it) renewed it at the last moment, he only wanted to sell it for a ridiculous amount of money, so it broke my little heart (insert *awwws* here) but I had to go for another domain and at the same time I moved my original backorder to Janet-Jackson.org, with basically no hope whatsoever to even have a chance to own this domain.

Anyway, I had "Janet Jackson Central" to keep me busy, though I stopped working on it after a couple of years. I remember thinking it was time for me to move on to other things, and Janet's career was going in a direction I didn't like that much (don't even get me started on "The Klumps"!) though obviously I still loved everything she had done so far. I kept an eye on what she was doing, but I no longer felt the need to visit fansites on a daily basis. I would just get my infos from celebrity blogs.

However, not too long ago I was looking on the web for a specific picture of Janet, a picture that was EVERYWHERE back in the 90s, it was the first time in a very long time that I visited fansites, and I was a bit shocked to see so many of the sites I used to visit years ago had disappeared & it was really difficult to find an archive on Janet career anywhere on the web. This is seriously sad considering Janet is a major artist & a great influence on today's generation of pop singers. Maybe it was a sign, I don't know... but a couple of days after this I got a notification in my mailbox that the domain janet-jackson.org was now mine... litterally YEARS after I backordered it. I thought about it, and decided to do something with it, a little site with no ego whatsover that will be updated whenever I have the time to work on it, but at least the domain won't belong to a company that will make profits out of it but to a longtime fan whose intention is to create something nice about Janet.

Now you know what this site is all about, hopefully you'll like it and you will give it a bit of time to grow.
